About RED Leicester Ultimate

A welcoming Ultimate Frisbee club in Leicester for beginners, regulars, and tournament addicts alike.

Who we are

RED Leicester Ultimate is a friendly, player-run Ultimate Frisbee club based in Leicester. We welcome all experience levels – from complete beginners who’ve never thrown a disc, to seasoned players looking for regular training and competitive tournaments.

Our aim is to create a supportive, inclusive space where people can get fitter, learn the sport, and be part of a genuine community. We train year-round with a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions, and we regularly travel to tournaments across the UK.

Training Sessions

We currently run a mix of outdoor and indoor training. Times and locations may change over the season, so always check the news page or calendar for up-to-date details.

Outdoor Training

Typical slot: Thursday 19:30-21:30
Nelson Mandela Park, Leicester.

Focus on full-pitch drills, fitness and scrimmage. Great for match-style play and learning how to work as a unit.

Indoor Training

Typical slot: Monday 20:30-21:45

Session details (times, dates and any changes) will always be announced on the website and/or our social channels.

Tournaments & Events

We aim to enter a mix of local one-day events, friendly hat tournaments, and UKU-sanctioned competitions throughout the year.

As a RED player you’ll have the chance to:

  • Play in mixed, open, and women’s divisions (where available).
  • Join our own home events, such as friendly scrimmage days and mini-tournaments.
  • Be part of club socials that run alongside big events and the regular season.
Our Values
  • Spirit of the Game
Treat all members and opponents with respect at all times.
  • Accessibility

  • Development
We want our players to improve. Expect coaching, feedback, and space to grow at your own pace.
Approach one of our coaches for specific feedback or advice.
  • Community
Above all, RED is about people: training together, travelling together, and celebrating the wins (on and off the pitch).
